All Program Directors are required to annually submit their fully updated ARF Tracking Tool that substantiates the aggregated data that they are reporting on their current ARF. This webinar is designed to help Program Directors to learn effective ways to use the ARF Tracking Tool. Attendance is optional; however, for those who have never attended an ARF Tracking Tool training, it is encouraged. This webinar is designed to help you to prepare for the upcoming MAERB ARF submissions for your 2025 admission cohorts and your 2025 graduates, which you will be reporting to MAERB either in the fall of 2026 or the early spring of 2027.
MAERB Self-Study Workshop, 2022 Standards
Date & Time: Monday, September 14, 2026, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Reno, NV, Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, AAMA Conference
Registration Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CM2YSVN
The Self-Study Workshop is an in-depth educational seminar focused on helping programs prepare for the comprehensive site survey. This Self-Study Workshop will be based on the 2022 Standards and Guidelines, and it is designed for Program Directors who have upcoming site visits. Other institutional representatives who are supporting the Program Director in preparing the Self-Study are welcome to attend.
This program has been granted approval by the American Association of Medical Assistants for eight (8) general continuing education units. Granting approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the AAMA of the program content or the program provider. Participants who have already received AAMA CEUs for attending a MAERB Self-Study Workshop on the 2022 CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines are not eligible to receive AAMA CEUs.
The workshop will focus on the MAERB resources to help you prepare for the Self-Study, walk you through the Self-Study template, discuss how to best ensure if you are effectively implementing the MAERB Core Curriculum, and provide an overview of how to prepare for the site visit. This program is led by MAERB Staff experienced surveyors, who will share their expertise in and knowledge of the CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines and the survey process.
If you are not able to attend, we will be holding a virtual Self-Study Workshop in March or April 2027, so you can attend the event virtually without needing to travel.
FEE: There is a $300.00 workshop fee, and you will receive an invoice that confirms your registration two weeks after you register for the event. If a program wants to send two people, it requires two separate registrations.
If registrants for the accreditation workshop do not inform Sarah Marino in the MAERB office that they cannot attend the September 14, 2026, workshop by August 1, 2026, they will not receive a refund of the $300 fee nor can they apply the fee to another workshop. If the MAERB office is notified on or prior to August 1, 2026, there will be a refund.
You do not need to register for the AAMA Conference to register for the Self-Study Workshop, as they are separate events. If you do not register for the AAMA conference, you will not be able to participate in any of the events of the conference. You will find information about the AAMA Conference at the following link: https://www.aama-ntl.org/education-and-events/annual-conference The workshop will be held at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada, and you will find hotel information on that page.
You must make your own hotel reservations. It is recommended to do so promptly as the room block does get booked quickly.
E-mail Verification. We will send you an email confirmation and an invoice confirming the receipt of your registration form for this workshop within two weeks.
Seating is limited to 65 individuals; if there is space, on-site registration will be available, and, in such a case, an invoice will be sent after the workshop.
MAERB Virtual Forum
Thursday, September 24, 2026, 2:30 – 3:45 pm EASTERN
Registration Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/t2irYyQbQtyMWf_Tq8iyVg
For those people who were not able to attend the MAERB Forum at the AAMA Conference, this webinar will provide the same information. You will receive a report about MAERB’s activities in academic year 2025-2026; we will be updating you on proposed policy changes for the Resource Assessment Form and the Advisory Committee with the goal of providing more clarity on the timelines and expectations. In addition, we will also be discussing the Annual Report Form pre-submission review process, soliciting your feedback and sharing plans. Finally, we will be outlining MAERB’s process for reviewing and potentially updating the CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines and the MAERB Core Curriculum, a process that will be starting in 2027.
Networking Sessions—Sharing Best Practices for Students Clinical Experiences
MAERB will be holding three sessions in fall 2026 for Program Directors and other instructional faculty to virtually meet and connect with each other. The topic for the sessions will be the required practicum, and Program Directors will have the opportunity to discuss in small groups the challenges, rewards, and best practices of conducting the practicum. In addition, Program Directors and others will be able discuss how they prepare students for the practicum with their other clinical experiences in the program. Program Directors will be put into small groups to share and discuss with their peers.
Space is limited, so we ask that you sign up for only one of the sessions so that we can serve as many people as possible.
